An article from the newspaper La Nouvelle République by Paul Boulben

An update on the diversification of our company through public procurement in this article from La Nouvelle République by Paul Boulben : _ "Founded in 2004, with 40 employees and a turnover of 8 million euros, Thoonsen presented a product derived from its know-how at the Mayors' Fair : alarm buttons for schools. This solution is part of the particular safety plan (PPMS), which has been mandatory since 2015. The company is equipping primary schools in Châteauroux.

In addition to safety issues, Thoonsen, which is banking on being made in France, was also presenting solutions in terms of electric mobility for public servants, with bicycles that can be adapted for transporting "disabled people, for delivering meals or for collecting rubbish".

The aim of this visit to the mayors' exhibition? "To diversify our clientele", says Jacky Thoonsen. And it allows us "to give national visibility", adds Claire Thoonsen."_

PRESS REVIEW // Thoonsen pushes the walls

An expansion has become essential to accommodate the new activities

Pierre-Yves Rochcongar wrote a nice article in the newspaper La Nouvelle République about the company's expansion and our diversification projects :   "The Castelroussine company specialising in anti-theft devices has expanded its premises on Rue Ampère to make room for its diversification projects.   [...] A second building of 853 feet2 has just been erected to store equipment, prepare work sites and assemble orders. This expansion and investment (€380,000 for the two buildings) was made necessary by the company's new activities: manufacturing crate furniture (the Bricomarché in La Châtre will soon be equipped with one) with the creation of a wood workshop, and assembling bicycles and electric scooters. "The whole "made in France" part takes up space, it's a big logistical job", the boss of the SME points out.

Thoonsen Trading, a leader in innovation of anti-theft protection

France Bleu paints a picture of our company in its La Nouvelle Éco section :

_"The good results of large food stores during the crisis are reflected in the Castelroussine company, which specialises in shop fitting. It has just extended its premises.

You are of course familiar with the plastic anti-theft ring on bottles of alcohol that is removed from you at the checkout, but did you know that it was a man from Castelroussen, Jacky Thoonsen, who patented it ? It is the flagship product of his company, with 60,000 units sold each month worldwide.

When it was founded in 2004, Thoonsen specialised in anti-theft solutions for large surfaces, mainly manufactured in China. But since 2015, Jacky Thoonsen has developed his activity while keeping the same clients. He has gradually turned to shopfitting (reception desks, checkout furniture, gates, etc.) In recent years, this activity has grown : it now represents 50% of his turnover._

PRESS REVIEW // Anti-attack buttons made in Berry

An article from the french newspaper La Nouvelle République on ThooBee® wireless anti-attack / anti-terrorism alert buttons

Our Thoobee® alert buttons are featured in La Nouvelle République Indre :

_"Châteauroux. The Thoonsen company has diversified into alarm buttons for incivilities and emergency attacks. The opportunities are promising.

"Think big", this is the motto on the entrance to one of Thoonsen's workshops. This is a precept that the small company from Castelroussine, created in 2004, never stops applying. Both figuratively and literally, since it has just extended its walls with the construction of a new room dedicated to shipping, and a 3765 feet2 building bringing together the administrative and commercial departments. This double extension responds to the need for space generated by the new activities developed over the last four years. "I thought we were a bit too focused on anti-theft accessories. The time had come to think about new outlets," says Jacky Thoonsen, the voluble founder of this company, which has grown from four to forty employees in sixteen years."_   Jacky Thoonsen, CEO, and Valentin Gaumet, engineer, worked in partnership with local companies. © Photos NR : Thierry Roulliaud
